ALYCE EMORY has more than 20 years of experience developing and managing events, programming, outreach and engagement projects for a variety of clients including HBO, The Apollo Theater, Third Wave Foundation, Black Women’s Arts Festival in Philadelphia, Urbanworld Film Festival, and many others.  Alyce is a vibrant speaker and panelist and has given presentations for Women In The Black’s Business Women’s Conference, New York Women In Communications Foundation, Langston Hughes Black Film Festival, and the Association for the Study of Worldwide African Diaspora. In 2010, Alyce was appointed to the Harlem Pride Founding Advisory Board and she currently serves on the board of NYC Black Pride, New York City’s first and longest running Black gay pride celebration. in 2013, Alyce’s “Salute to Our Seniors” Program, earned NYC Black Pride a Proclamation from the New York City Council. because of her outstanding work with NYC Black Pride, Alyce was appointed by the Deputy Manhattan Borough President to the Islan Nettles Vigil Program Planning committee. Alyce is also active in the community through her memberships in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and The Black Documentary Collective and as advisor to the Gary International Black Film Festival and Sisters Healing Old Wounds – an organization that provides support for formerly incarcerated women.
