Can I give and not be a member?
Yes, you would be considered a contributor. Contributors are allies who believe in the work of the Giving Circle and therefore make contributions to the organization. Contributors can be individuals, foundations or other organizations.
I am man can I still give?
While you cannot become a member you can definitely contribute. You would be a contributor. Contributors are allies who believe in the work of the Giving Circle and therefore make contributions to the organization. Contributors can be individuals, foundations or other organizations.
How can I become a member of the steering committee?
The steering committee are members of the organization tasked with making decisions. The size of the group starts at six and can grow to nine individuals, which is directly tied to the increase in the number of members. The original Core Group consists of Kim Ford as Chair, Karen R. Sebastian as Vice Chair, Martina Downey, Alyce Emory, Tawanna Sullivan, and Zakiyyah Shabazz.
A majority vote is required for funding decisions. In the event of a tie a final decision is made by the panel chair, and in her absence, the panel vice chair. Membership is for a term of 3 years with the opportunity to renew for one additional term. As needed and decided by the Steering Committee members, a vote will be taken to increase its membership size.
I don’t live where KTGC is based. How do i participate in meetings?
What happens if an organization doesn’t fulfill the requirements necessary after they get the grant? Do they have to refund the grant?

Must be fiscally sponsored

What do I get for my membership?
As a member you get to champion projects and organizations that would benefit from a grant by submitting a proposal.
